In Rwanda 60% of the children suffer tooth decay, while the situation among adults is even worse due to accidents and diseases like AIDS and mouth cancer. Out of love for that country and the Rwanda people it was decided to create the Oral Health Foundation Rwanda (OHFR).
The OHFR aspires to offer a real contribution to improve dental care in that country to the benefit of the people of Rwanda. The OHFR has set as object the offering of oral care specially to the small inland communities by setting up an infrastructure of visiting oral specialized professionals, nick named “the Bare Feet Dentists”. In cooperation with extant “health centers” it aims to prepare and carry out information to and training of the local people.
The OHFR is registered by the foundation “Geefgratis”. See www.allegoededoelen.nl |
