The Oral Health Foundation Rwanda (OHFR) strives to use the “stone in water circles movement method”. It shall begin with one (1) project in a selected small area, where it will work in accordance with a project plan on dental care in that region, in joint effort with the concerned “health center”, taking also care of the spreading of information and the training of locals. If and when, based on a serious and profound evaluation afterwards, the results of this first project are positive the second one will be launched. In this way a learning system will be created to the benefit of as well the OHFR as the local entities involved. The goal is to reach on a longer term an as vast as possible area with delegation of projects execution as much as possible to local organizations, assisted through OHFR with the following means.

To provide the dentist on house calls with a dental mobile unit.

To train locals to handle simple dental care actions.

To train them in providing preventive oral care information.

To equip dental and oral care sections in the “health centers”.

To upgrade extant medical dental equipment.
